It was an amazing opportunity for the MRP teams to go head to head in Suncorp Stadium! With a large crowd cheering on our MRP teams, it just so happened that the Queensland Reds were also playing. Bonus!
There was so much excitement surrounding the event in the lead up and on the day. A generous offer from Queensland Rugby meant that we could start the day with a guided tour of a quiet stadium for our Players to prepare themselves for the big stage that evening.
This is the third year that was have had the privilege to play at Suncorp Stadium with The Reds and it was our best year yet! More teams this year than ever before meant that we had the opportunity to play as a curtain raiser for the game AND at half time.
This was a giant step out of the comfort zone for some of our MRP players and they all shone as bright as The Reds! (We are hoping some selectors were watching!)
