What a wonderful 2018 MRP End of season carnival at Wests Bulldogs Rugby Club last Saturday. A great day was had by the whole MRP community involving Players, PlayerMentors and the enormous support crew made up of Parents, Friends, Supporters and Sponsors who make the MRP possible. The day was full of smiles, lots of hugs and some great rugby demonstrating the bonds and skills learnt this season. This year we had 7 clubs participating across three different divisions with countless tries scored.
The days was full of highlights from the very start culminating in an exhibition match by our wonderful Coaches who provide so much joy throughout the season.
Thanks so much too to all our awesome MRP sponsors for all your support during the season and on the day: St George Foundation, St George Bank, Manitou Australia, Vanderfield, The Queensland government through a $30, 000 grant to take the MRP to Townsville and expand the program in Toowoomba, Coca Cola Foundation, Queensland Rugby Union (MRP) and the St.George Qld Reds, the Australian Sports Foundation, The Federal Department of Families and Communities, Rugby Australia, the Brumbies and the Vikings in the ACT and our Foundational partners PWC, Elliotts, Holding Redlich and Dais for all that you do for us! We couldn’t do what we do without the support of the Clubs that host MRP teams including: Brothers in Brisbane and Townsville, Easts, Wests, Norths, Redlands and in Toowoomba USQ Saints and Toowoomba Bears.
Thanks so much also to Gray-Nicholls for the awesome Gilbert Rugby balls and the Turner Group for the wonderful wine. It was also great to have Councillor David McLachlan with us as well as representatives of the QRU Board
